6 Survival Tips for Raising 2 Under 2

If you’re in the 2 under 2 club and wondering how you're supposed to keep these two tiny humans alive every day… welcome!
It’s chaotic, loud, messy, and honestly the sweetest season, all at the same time. And if it feeling like you're constantly putting out tiny fires, you're definitely not alone!
After (barely) surviving life with two littles under two myself, here are a few things that have genuinely made my days a little easier:
Prep Before You Sit Down
Grab your water, snacks, burp cloth, phone charger... whatever you need before you get trapped under a baby. Trust me, the second you get comfortable is the exact moment you'll realize you forgot something!
Babywear Whenever You Can
Having two free hands while your baby stays close is a total game changer! It won't solve every problem, but it will make your everyday tasks feel a lot more manageable.
Give Your Toddler a “Special Job"
Whether it’s grabbing the diaper & wipes, picking out the baby’s outfit, or helping throw something away, toddlers LOVE feeling important. Including them with your tasks throughout the day helps turn "the baby is taking all of the attention" into "I'm actually part of the team".
Keep a Basket of “Feeding Time” Toys
Rotate a few toys for your toddler that only come out while you’re feeding the baby. This makes it feel new and exciting every time! Because let's be honest, a little novelty goes a LONG way with a toddler.
Lower The Bar
Some days survival is the goal. The dishes and laundry will still be there tomorrow, so if everyone’s fed, loved, and safe, you’re doing enough!
Use Screen Time Without the Guilt
Sometimes, a 20-minute episode is exactly what you need to feed the baby, make lunch, or simply just catch your breath. A less stressed out mama is so much more important than striving for perfection every single day. It's a tool, NOT a parenting fail.
One last thing… don’t feel guilty if you can’t give 100% to both kids all the time. You're raising two tiny humans, not trying to win a parenting competition. Remember to give yourself grace and patience in this beautifully chaotic season of motherhood ♡
